I came here for happy hour with my friends last night, and it was so cozy and warm! The ambiance was perfect for a couple drinks after work on a frigid NYC day. We are all martini lovers and saw online that the freezer door martini was part of their happy hour deal, which was a big motivating factor to choosing this spot, but sadly the menu online was not up to date and didn't watch the menu on our table, and martinis were not part of the deal. We got a couple glasses of red wine which were good and ended up ordering some dirty martinis as well as we had our hearts set on them despite them not being on the happy hour menu. We ordered some sides of fries and turns out they are large hash brown fries, which surprised us, but we must have not looked at the menu in enough detail to notice. They were still delicious! There was only one bartender behind the bar, granted it is a very small space, but it was a little annoying to get up every time we wanted to order something due to how little room there was to move around between everyone. Perfect date spot or happy hour spot after work. I'll definitely be back!

Stumbled upon this place in the Village and grabbed drinks. It was cute and cozy inside. The bartender was very nice to talk to. They had a food menu that looked good but we weren't hungry at the time. I would definitely come back here to try their food.

Solid spot in West Village with a cozy ambiance and friendly staff. Came for brunch and the food was slow to come out but maybe the bar is more energetic and livelier for happy hour drinks! I like the decor and the couches / high top options.

Enjoyed the food and ambiance at Grove Street Social! I had the omelette which was superbly done. Bartender was very friendly but food took ages to come out despite not being many people there. I'd go back for drinks or happy hour.

Perfect neighborhood spot in the West Village. The new Tortilla Cups are a must try, tastier and easier to eat than typical tacos.

We've been there before for the great drinks and friendly bartenders. While the menu was small the brunch was wonderful . Crispy waffle fries . The eggs Benedict made with chunks of fresh ham on a croissant was perfection . Will return . Just warning it's high tops or the couch .

One of those hidden gems in the West Village that pleasantly surprise you. I had simply walked in for a meal, but as I entered I didn't really see any food on other tables (it was also late in the afternoon). Went ahead and ordered the cauliflower & broccoli pakoras and the lamb chops. Both dishes were excellent - the pakoras were fried to a crisp and had the right amount of bite to them, the lamb chops were quite succulent, perhaps could have been a tad bit juicier but overall went perfectly well with the delicious mint sauce. Would recommend this spot if you're looking for some bites with drinks in a casual yet trendy setting.

This was the perfect spot for a quick after lunch drink. A group of seven of us walked in and they were so incredibly accommodating, offering to move tables, chatting and being overall welcoming. It was so cozy with football and soccer on, and a great little mini library with some stellar books. We got a variety of drinks and I was so impressed with the homemade ingredients. The pumpkin spice espresso martini had homemade pumpkin spice syrup and was served in the cutest ceramic coffee cup looking glasses. The bramble had incredible homemade blackberry coulis in it that was customized to fall with some clove in it. Surprising and delicious. Looking forward to my next visit.

I'd rate Grove Street Social three and a half stars. Cozy bar in the West Village. Few beers on draft. Handful of wines. Pretty decent whiskey selection, but they were pricey. One of the prices that came to mind was Redbreast 12 for $20 for a pour. I settled on Bitburger which was $10. Service was quick. You're certainly paying for the location as the bar situated amongst many clubs and events spaces.
